The leaders have set unyielding standards for the entire surgical team, which includes: cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiovascular nurse specialists and nurse practitioners, clinical perfusionists, and cardiac surgical physician's assistants. Individually, each team member plays a vital, specialized role in the cardiac surgery process. Together, they form the nucleus of Winthrop's cardiac surgery program...a program of uncompromising quality and expertise.
