Dr. Williams is an Attending Thoracic Surgeon at Winthrop-University Hospital with over 30 years of experience. Most recently he has focused on the surgical treatment of thoracic disease, particularly involving lung and esophageal cancer.
Dr. Williams is Board Certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. His post-graduate clinical training includes an internship in Medicine at Bellevue Hospital Medical Center in New York, a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and residencies in Thoracic Surgery and Surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. He earned his medical degree at the New Jersey College of Medicine.
Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. He has published many articles in professional journals, is listed as one of the Metropolitan Area's "Top Doctors" and in The Metropolitan Registry, and serves on the Physicians Advisory Board of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
