Dr. Kokotos is an Attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Winthrop-University Hospital. He came to Winthrop from the Park Cardiothoracic and Vascular Institute in Pittsburgh, PA (formerly the Heart & Lung Institute).
Dr. Kokotos is Board Certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. His post-graduate training includes a residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at New York University Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and was in the Honors Program.
Invited to speak on many topics related to cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Kokotos has published articles in professional journals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the International Society for Endovascular Surgery.
